Dagen der gik // The day that passed

Vil lade billederne tale for dem selv, da jeg er tomme for ord.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Skt. Hans // Sct. Hans

Finally I have summer vacation. Last Saturday we went to Marielyst to see the witch burn. We had a great night.

Håber i nyder dem.

I'm sitting here and studying my ass off. Tomorrow I have an oral exam in Art class and it's something I'm not looking forward too. Other than that, I've been looking around Youtube to hear covers of some good songs. Althoug you don't always find the good ones. I've never listened to covers better than the original song, but that has changed lately. I've found really good covers and i have to share them with you. It's music I can study to! Hope you enjoy.

Here you have some pictures from my trip to Berlin. You can really see the difference between the old architecture and the modern.

Fars dag // Fathers day

Far . Mig . Lillebror . Farfar // Father . Me. Little brother . Grandfather
For to måneder siden mistede jeg min farfar.

I'm seating here and I don't know how to say this. Yes it's fathers day and I should congratulate every single dad out there, but first I want to say something. I have to fathers in my life. My danish father, Jan, and my real father, Ricardo. Yes, I have the same name as my dad. They deserve a big thank you for all of the good times I've had with them. But this year there's an empty space in my heart. Just 2 months ago I lost my grandfather. A 65 year young man who was ready to do anything! Especially those canoe trips. It came as a huge surprise for us all. Nobody was expecting it. I was actually on my way back to Denmark, and when I got into my room and heard the news, I jumped on a plane back to be with my family. It was the first time I saw my father cry. It was the first time I stepped in my grandparents house and not getting a hug from my grandfather. Still today I wake up and can't understand that you're gone. A part of me wants to not believe it, but another part wants to move on. The night I got to Puerto Rico my grandmother put a piece of paper in my hands. She told me that my grandfather had it in his hands when he passed away. He was on his way to church when he suffered from a heart attack. On the paper he had written the things he wanted to thank God for, and the things he wanted to say to him. And number 5 said "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a grandfather. I have the best grandchildren you could ask for. They make me proud." Dear grandpa' from now on I'm gonna make sure that you stay proud. You'll always be with me in my heart, and I thank God for have given me the privilege to talk to you a week before you passed away. I love you!

Spisning med udsigt // Dinner with a view

Here I present you the TV Tower. It's in the center of Alexanderplatz and it's the tallest building in Berlin. I only thought you could go up there to see Berlin, but I had no idea that you could actually eat there. The best part of the experience was that the restaurant rotated. We saw Berlin from all sides in around 30 minutes from our table. We were 207 meters up in the air, so we had a perfect view of the city and to make it even better, the weather was perfect. The service in the restaurant was a bit slow and the restaurant wasn't even full. I expected really gourmet food after seeing those prices, but I was a bit disappointed. I ordered a chicken breast in redwine sauce, but it was as if the chicken had been in the freezer and the put it in the microwave. But just to rotate up in the air while eating was totally worth the price. And no, you don't get dizzy because you rotate very slow.

Berlin kalder // Berlin is calling

I'm at it again. The suitcase was packed and the trip went to Berlin. I got here Thursday night and I'm leaving Monday afternoon. I have to admit, Germany hasn't said anything to me before, but Berlin is something by itself. It's really an amazing city. I've been on several walking tours around Berlin, and it's really impressing. Our hotel is located really central in Berlin, behind us is Alexanderplatz and I've of course taken pictures, but for now I'm only going to post pictures of our hotel view. I have to plan future posts about Berlin.
